one thing i would like to see this year is a better circus area. in past years they had a really good area set up, but if i do recall, most of the props from those years were taken to the haunted house in 2009. that was definatly a dissapointment, because the circus area was one of the better themed areas at fright fest. all they had last year were a few clowns taking over slingshots old spot.
as far as the terror train goes, i'm looking forward to riding it this season and seeing how they improved it. i hope the storyline is a lot different this year, because it seemed like every year it was always the same: bad guys, police officers, and the bad guy runs into the building and blows up. bringing back the videos that play a little background movie in the queue would be a good idea. one thing that i think would be cool, probably wouldn't happen, though, would be to make the train into a circus theme somehow. the conductor could be dressed as a creepy clown and they could put a lot of cool ideas into it. |

I dont see how you could get rid of the first rollercoaster here. I love the ride very much even though it doesnt have the thrills. its hard to explain why but i do.
also i dont think we need to get rid of Tidal wave and the swings we just need to add on. no one wants to walk up hills etc just to get soaked and ride on swings. there both decent rides though. this is just my opinion so dont go shootin off that im wrong everybody has an opinion ill respect yours if you respect mine |

When I went the rides with full lines I see are usually The Boss, Mr. Freeze, Superman Tower of Power, Scooby Doo, and Thunder River. Batman The Ride was a walk on (I could swear walking in the queue took longer than the actual ride itself) and Evel Knievel is always a walk on. When I went to Great America last year everything had quite a long line. The longest line there was The Dark Knight Coaster which I must have waited an hour to get on. However the funny thing is it took me longer to get on Superman Ultimate Flight probably because they were running two trains.

I couldn't agree more, the extra expenses incurred due to high prices is one of the major drawbacks to visiting the park. ![]() When I took that picture earlier in the thread my 4GB SD Card wasn't working so we went to the where the photos and stuff like that are (towards the front of the park). A 1GB SD Card at Six Flags costs like $84.99! You can go to anywhere else that sells SD Cards and get a 1GB one cheaper. So yeah, I think Six Flags needs to lower the prices on pretty much everything. If they can do that they can see a boost in attendance. As for the Intimidator coasters, those parks are a lot bigger than ours and they offer a lot more thrills to thrillseekers than our park does. Just look up how many coasters Kings Dominion and Carowinds has and compare it to our park and you'll see we aren't quite there yet to get a B&M Hyper or and Intamin Mega. Right, but they got that attendance by building new additions, prior to the intimidator. Build something worth coming to, and the people will come. The intimidators were merely icing on the cake. The anchor to the foundation they had been building for years. If I were on the outside looking in and lived far away, I'd see very few reasons to come to SFSTL. Those reasons would be Mr. Freeze, EK, The Boss, and the Screaming eagle. Unless I were in the area it wouldn't be worth my time, considering the other rides would be a mediocre spinning coaster, ANOTHER batman clone (my first of 5 i've ridden), one step away from worthless mine train, and an arrow head banger. Hell... I live 45 minutes away and I haven't been to the park in a year and a half and I don't miss anything. Build more cost effective rides comparable to EK (only non wood) and boost your attendance. Even replace things like the Ninja and the mine train, so you can keep your operating cost down. Take out the old empty queve rides and replace them with new thrills. These rides I refer to are the mine train, the Ninja, tidal wave, the swings, etc. You have empty lines, because you have rides not worthy or a wait. |

Im still sitting here waiting for this mule go round and dragon coaster purchase to go through got all my hopes up for nothing lol. The possibilities are endless I'm sure there are things no one has even thought of yet and we will all still be surprised when it is announced. they just need to say it already! I'm tired of waiting I agree with all of this. I think we may be in for a surprise. I wouldn't be surprised to see some new SMALL SCALE steel attraction to be added to Holiday World within the next few years that WILL bring the crowds even more than the park is already doing so today. Remember Holiday World offers so many perks (free soda, parking, sunscreen) and the food prices are very reasonable... It's that 'added value' that make people go back for multiple visits and give high recommendations to folks who have never been there before. If Six Flags were to try this business tactic, attendance would sore. Lower parking and food prices, bring back the Trams... people need to feel good after they left, not feel they have been robbed. What's a bottle a Soda selling for now? still $2.50 or is it higher? True, true, and true. However, Six Flags has ruined it's high cost repuation so much that it would take a few seasons and a lot of advertising for peole to realize that the cost has gone down. |

My work has 4GB SD card for 14.99. Also I noticed that the disposable cameras are outrageous there. I would imagine the amount of money the park would make would go way up if they lowered the prices for food and parking. More people would be willing to eat at the park

I completely disagree with the statement that our park will never be thriving again. I don't think Carowinds was a big park and with their addition last year they received national exposure with their coaster. That's what we need.
